The STD consultation hour is especially for people who want to get tested without having symptoms. For this, you make an appointment with our experienced assistant. Beforehand, you fill in a confidential questionnaire that is discussed during the consultation. The assistant gives you personalised advice and immediately carries out the necessary tests. The consultation itself is free, only the test costs are deducted from your deductible. Our assistant also counsels patients on the use of PREP (a medicine used to prevent HIV).

When STD consultation and when to see a GP

The STD consultation hour with the assistant is only for people without complaints who want to be tested preventively. You fill in an extensive questionnaire about your sexual health and risk behaviour. If you have complaints such as pain when urinating, itching, rashes or unusual discharge, you should make an appointment with your GP. The GP can examine these complaints and, if necessary, treat them immediately. With this clear division, you always get the right care in the right place.
